A night of diversity at POPs Performing Arts Center in Dunsmuir. A casual affair of rock, pop, blues, and who knows what else?
No Boys Aloud is a Mount Shasta-based all-female rock/pop/R&B multi-instrumentalist band. NBA is performing “unplugged”, showcasing the tight three-part harmonies reminiscent of Dixie Chicks and Fleetwood Mac. Dana Knight (vocals/bass), Paula Reynolds (vocals/guitar/flute), Janet Sperry (vocals/ukulele) and Cindy Summers (percussion, crowd-pleasing).
The Mountain Gypsies are a local dance troupe that supports the community, fundraising, and the arts. With belly dance as their muse, they are always incorporating aesthetics that encompass many various forms of the dance. They are known for themed performances which change on a yearly basis.
Kevin Radley is a singer songwriter from Vallejo who performs on a a variety of instruments including Guitar, 3&4 String Cigar Box Guitars, piano and harmonica . His songs often reflect on themes of presence, time,objects with a dose of political commentary and one of the most timeless themes; relationships.
DONATIONS TO VICTIMS OF BOLES FIRE
This event has been scheduled since the end of August.
After the devastating Boles fires in Weed on September 15th, the artists unanimously decided to donate proceeds from this event to the fund set up by Shasta Regional Community Foundation for victims of the fire – our neighbors. Suggested donation at the door is $5-$10 and tips will also be donated to the victims.
