A group of local folks who love to spin music and dance are offering HeartBeat Dance for Weed Relief on Saturday, November 15th. All proceeds will be donated to the Shasta Regional Community Foundation’s Disaster Relief Fund of which 100% will go directly to provide assistance and fund recovery efforts.
Since ancient times dancing has been a way of uniting the whole community joyously—without alcohol or drugs. Today it is rare to find a dance with a wide range of people attending—until now.
Heartbeat Dance aims to unite all people – young and old, rich and poor – on the dance floor on a regular basis, starting with this special event in honor of those whose lives were scorched by the Boles fire.
We will have a big room, big sound, and a big range of music that transports us into ecstatically joyful adventures.
There is an old African proverb that goes, “If you can talk you can sing. If you can walk you can dance.” We believe everyone’s feet will find our beat irresistible.
All ages are welcome. Suggested donation $5-$20.
